Use of ChartFX on farmdoc
This page is intended to offer guidance on using ChartFX graphics software on some farmdoc pages. This software is use to produce on-demand charts. Any page using ChartFX will initially require your computer to download an ActiveX control to properly display charts. After the initial install, the software will function automatically without repeated installs unless you clear cookies and internet files from you browser. In that case, you may find a message bar requesting another install. Diagnosing your problem
1. If you do not see charts on the page you were accessing, please check for a message bar at the top of this page directly under the browser toolbars.
2. You may find a message which reads: "This site might require the following ActiveX control: 'ChartFX Internet' from 'Software FX, Inc.'. Click here to install..."
3. If so, please click on the bar, choose 'Install ChartFX' and then 'install' in the dialogue box which will display. That sequence should allow you to install appropriate software and view the charts.
4. Otherwise, you may have your internet security set to a high level which prohibits download of the ActiveX software. Please check your security settings to determine if this is the case.
