A Microsoft Excel spreadsheet has been developed that identifies
which of the five alternatives for updating acres results in the
highest government payments. The five options are further described
here.
The spreadsheet was originally developed by William Edwards at
Iowa State University. The original spreadsheet was modified for
Illinois.
Microsoft Excel 97 or higher is required to run the spreadsheet.

Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. Save the worksheet on your machine
to maintain your own copy of the Tool. The current version is 5.5.
