FEED COSTS FOR FINISHING HOGS
Table 5 shows feed costs for differing feed prices and feed conversion rates.  Panel A givescosts of raising hogs from 55 to 250 pounds while Panel B gives costs from 10 to 250 pounds.  Ascan be seen from Table 5, both prices and conversion rates have large impacts on costs.Feed costs are constructed using rations contained in Pork Industry Handbook, "Swine Diets"(PIH-23, Illinois Cooperative Extension Service).  Table 4 shows feed quantities resulting fromthese diets.
